Resolutions of the National Commission

Assigning H.E. Chairman of the National Commission to follow up this subject.

Government Response

All students, who were not convicted of acts of violence, were returned to their study. The students, who were accused but have not as yet been convicted, were also returned back to study. For those who have been convicted, the University of Bahrain and the Polytechnic Institute will take the necessary procedures to facilitate their return after a reasonable period of time.

With respect to paragraph (c), the University of Bahrain will amend its regulations (including rules and procedures of the investigation) to comply with international standards. The lists will be scrutinized by experts from the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) (Please see the memorandum of understanding signed by the Ministry of Education, below). Once approved, the regulations will be copied by other private educational institutions.
